Positano Stole My Heart – A Moment on the Amalfi Coast

There’s something about the Amalfi Coast that gets under your skin in the best possible way. Maybe it’s the way the towns cling to the cliffs, stacked like pastel postcards. Maybe it’s the roads — those impossibly narrow, winding ribbons carved straight out of the rock. Or maybe it’s the feeling that every staircase leads to a view you’ll remember for the rest of your life.

Positano, especially, has that effect on me. Every time I’m there, I feel suspended between sea and sky, like the whole place is holding its breath. And every time I leave, I feel that little tug in my chest — the one that tells me I’ll be back.

John Steinbeck said it perfectly:

“Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone.”

Some places stay with you long after you’ve left. Positano is one of mine — the place that inspired My Amalfi Coast Love Affair and still tugs at my heart.

What corner of the Amalfi Coast has stayed with you long after you left? I love feedback, so please consider leaving a comment.
