You’ll feel as if you are traveling beside me on Italy’s southern coast. Sharing personal experiences, in no particular order, I relate real stories about my travels to this alluring location. You’ll read about charming villages, adventurous hikes, traditional cuisine, transportation options, shopping opportunities, and unforgettable local people.
What readers are saying…
“Margie is the everywoman of us in the sense that we’ve all been that girl wishing we packed less and practiced more on the stair-master before tackling Amalfi’s perilous staircases. Her love affair with one of Italy’s most glittery coastlines is as palpable and relatable as it gets and I would absolutely recommend this book for anyone who appreciates an honest, human approach to a popular place.” —Georgette Jupe-Pradier, Editor of Italy Magazine and creator of the popular Girl in Florence blog.
“Margie has both great knowledge and great passion for her subject, bella Italia. She’s the perfect host to guide you around the often confusing–but always alluring–Amalfi Coast. Go along with her on this adventure and you, too, will fall hopelessly in love with this idyllic corner of Italy. Buon viaggio!” —Rick Zullo, Blogger at Rick’s Rome and podcaster at The Fatal Charm of Italy
“Margie’s intimate and heartwarming love for the Amalfi Coast becomes enriched and transformed when, after numerous visits with family, friends, and even solo… she shares it with the love of her life. What a perfect happy ending to a dual love affair!” —Victoria De Maio, Author of Victoria’s Travel TipZ Italian Style: MORE Simple Ways to Enjoy Italian Ways on Your Next Trip to Italy
“Margie’s ability to take readers on a journey with her is special. Her willingness to open her heart and allow us to share in her experiences is unique. It is like reading her diary, a travel guide and a delightful novel at the same time. You can truly feel her ‘Love Affair’ with the Amalfi Coast in this book.” —Jennifer Spitalieri, Editor of La Gazzetta Italiana
“Having lived in Positano for almost 20 years, although I never take for granted the beauty of the area, I suppose I have forgotten what it is like to see it and explore the streets for the first few times as a returning visitor. My Amalfi Coast Love Affair vividly describes the feelings one experiences when seeing Positano and the Amalfi Coast for the first time. Margie spends her time here well, meeting various residents and taking day trips around the area to see as much as she possibly can. If you need an Italy fix or just want to be spirited away to the Amalfi Coast for a while, then this book is for you.” —Nicki Positano, Social Media Influencer @NickiPositano
“Clinging to the cliff-sides south of Naples, the villages of the Amalfi Coast are so picturesque and unique that UNESCO has recognized them with a special designation. Margie Miklas takes us on a personal journey around this beautiful Italian peninsula, sharing her stories and meanderings. A memoir as colorful as the Amalfi Coast itself.” —Laura Morelli, Ph.D., Art Historian and Historical Novelist
My Amalfi Coast Love Affair follows three previous books I’ve written about Italy. Many of you have read them, and I always appreciate your generous and continuing support. In case you missed any, you can check them out here: Margie Miklas, Amazon
This newest book reveals a more personal side of me, and the final chapter relates what happens in my most recent trip to the Amalfi Coast, a trip I share for the first time, with the love of my life. Romance is in the air.

Complimenti! Nice-sounding voice. I’ve been thinking of doing this with parts of my book. I haven’t ever listened to an audio book, but one of my sisters often buys both the e-book and audio versions of the same book, she’ll read a little of it when she has time and then listen to other chapters in the car or exercising and then go back to reading.

Thanks so much, Karen. I’d encourage you to do it. There is a learning curve but well worth it

This is awesome! I am a HUGE Audibe fan; I burn through 5-8 books a month. They are a great opportunity to rip through a book while multitasking; I listen when I am in the car and when I take Bonnie on long walks! Who is doing the reading?

Hi Joe…Thanks. That is great to hear. Audiobooks have definitely become quite popular. I’m narrating the book since it’s a memoir. Did you listen to the sample? It’s me!
