I love wandering through these piazzas in Italy, where a photo opportunity appears around every corner. The beautiful Piazza Vecchia is the heart of the old town in Upper Bergamo in northern Italy’s Lombardia region. In the center of this piazza sits a fountain which was presented to the city in the 18th century. The piazza is a great place to people watch too.
Have you been to Bergamo? I’d love to hear your feedback, so please leave a comment.
Grazie and Ciao.

I remember this piazza Margie.
We took the funicular up to the Old Town and spent the afternoon there. Just gorgeous. The churches and squares are beautiful and there is a great gelato shop there too. 🙂
Thanks Lorelle. It’s a beautiful place. Time to plan a return. Stay safe
