It’s been over a year since I’ve been in Italy, and normally by now I’d have made plans for a return trip. But this year is different, and although a part of my heart is always in Italy, I’m traveling to someplace new. Yes, Margie in Italy is going to London! I’m excited to travel to a place that I’ve read so much about, and will now finally experience this city first-hand.

With a population of 9 million people, the greater London area is the largest city in the UK. But the actual city limits of London encompass only one square mile with 10,000 residents, although over 300,000 people commute there for work.

I’ll be doing the usual tourist things and also look forward to experiencing some not-so-touristy things. While I will not be blogging from London, I will definitely be posting photos on social media, especially my Facebook profile, Instagram page, and Twitter account.

I hope a week in London will be enough, but probably it won’t. After that, a second week in England, specifically Liverpool and Brighton should bring other exciting adventures.

As a Florida girl, I’m looking forward to cooler weather, like the forecasted 50s and 60s. And I won’t be traveling solo. The love of my life will be with me, as we explore the UK together!

So, stay connected with me on social media, to see what I’m up to. And when I get back, I’ll be getting ready to launch my second novel, probably by the beginning of November.  More on that later.

Have a great trip Margie! London is a wonderful city to live and work in and if I see you I will definitely say hi! What’s on your itinerary?

Thanks Marilyn. I know we will begin exploring on the Hop-On Hop=Off Bus but we bought the London Pass and plan to visit a lot of the main sights and a few museums. Also a play in the West End! We will enjoy it I know.

Ciao bella Margie! Brava, you made a good choice to go to London, it was on my 86 years young Mamma Natalina to go to London, so we did and we had a wonderful time touring! So have fun and have a safe trip! Claudio
