Return to Italy

posted in: Italy Travel, TRAVEL | 28

Travel is an integral component of my DNA, or at least it has been, ever since I became an adult. I’ve been fortunate to be able to visit Italy almost every year, beginning in 2007, when I fell in love with Bella Italia. So, it should come as no surprise that I’m making arrangements to return to Italy, but this time will include a few surprise twists.

I won’t have time to blog while I’m gone, so stay tuned for updates on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

By the way, I’ve been working on another book, a travel memoir about the Amalfi Coast. I’ve finished the first draft, except the final chapter, which will be about my time there during this upcoming trip.

My plan is to write that last section once I return home. I expect to have the completed manuscript in the capable hands of my editor by July. With some luck, I hope to have it published early this fall.

My next writing project after that will be a follow-up to Critical Cover-Up. Watch this space.

Thank you Debra…I’m here now but don’t think we will meet up. In Venice now and Rome next with a pretty busy agenda, then heading south

I will look forward to reading your next book. I, like you, love Italy, so I will be returning to my “second home” in just a few short weeks. Someday, I know, our paths will cross in our beloved Italy.

    Margie,
I am presently reading your book ” My love affair with Italy ” and I have a question.
When going to the Amalfi coast, is there a way to avoid going through Naples ? I am really not comfortable having to exchange train there,
Have a great trip to this incredible country !

    Grazie

Thank you so much, Celine. I would recommend a private driver from Naples. The fee is approximately €110 euros to Positano but well worth it. Email me for recommendations. margieeee@comcast.net

Can’t wait for your new book. I too am returning to Italy a maggio. I have also been fortunate to return many times since 2000 and have a passion for the country of my roots. Buon viaggio Margie!
