I am always drawn to these trucks in Italy with produce for sale. These mobile fruit and vegetable stations are especially convenient in small towns.
This one is in Riposto, a small commune on the eastern coast of Sicily. This little Sicilian coastal town is located between Taormina and Catania, about 15 miles from both cities, and touches the Ionian Sea.
Have you seen these trucks filled with produce in Italy or elsewhere? I’d love to hear about your experiences, so please leave a comment.

There is a seafood truck that makes a weekly stop in Sant’Angelo Scalo. So interesting to see the variety that is offered. The signor even had the swordfish head to show to us!

They always look so unstable to me, I imagine them toppling over when driving around a corner!

No, I haven’t seen one of those trucks. But the last Italian town we stayed in (very small) had a one-room farmer’s market in a hut in an orchard. There was room for only one customer at a time and customers had to wait outside in a line to get it. It was so darn cute.
