More Doors in Italy

I am always fascinated by the doors and doorways in Italy and of course have to stop and capture them with my camera. Here are some from my recent visit.

  1. Love these door shots, Margie. I so love Italy; I’ve been there several times but never as often as I would like. Thanks for providing a great armchair tour!

  2. Oh, I wish we had such a great respect for, and love of, architecture here; thank you for the exquisite door photos!

I must echo other opinions today and admit to a love of the architecture of those old doors. What massive woods were used to make them. At just because they are over 20 years old does not mean they are obsolete and must be thrown out. I can nearly feel the artist that made them and the many hands that have touched them. Very wise these italians.
