Sunday afternoon May 1

It’s a beautiful sunny afternoon and definitely too nice to be inside. I found my way to Borghese Park, which is sort of the Central Park of Rome. It is huge and includes the famous Borghese Museum and gardens.

I found a nice shady spot close to the entrance where I could spend some time relaxing, writing and listening to the Black-Eyed Peas on my iPhone. Some men were engaged in a heated game if Bocce Ball, friends were having picnics, people were riding bicycles, and dogs were playing, some on leashes and some not.

It was a great get-away from the city. It’s springtime and everything is very green. It’s beautiful here.

This is the best way to travel. You have the leisure to absorb the local experience and make it your own. You have always been good at that. You always seemed to be a detached time travelor thru the world but on this trip you may have found your very own place in time. You really seem to belong to this world you are living in .

I love Villa Borghese gardens and go whenever I am in Rome. I will be there in a couple of weeks, thanks for the lovely photos.

I'm always interested in your thoughts, so please leave a comment.
